Thank you for joining us at Shakti Stories!

Shakti Stories is a mission to Empower Feminine Bliss for all people to flower and thrive.

For centuries, womxn have been twisting and contorting themselves in various ways to fit into the norms & expectations of the world.

Yet, we are now waking up to all the ways that we’ve been limiting our self-expression or hiding aspects of our whole truth.

Expressing more of our essence is not just about wearing long dresses or dancing ecstatically in Bali. It’s about becoming aware of the true potential that we have in the body we reside in.

Today’s greatest threat to womxn’s freedom is what Marion Woodman called the “addiction to perfection”. This “never good enough” mentality means that no matter how much we do, it is never enough.

Inspired by great leaders in the field of Feminine Psychology & Spirituality such as Marion Woodman and Sally Kempton and my teachers Dr. Ana Mozol, Dr. Leslie Ellis, Dr. Jalaja Bonheim, Toko-pa and Tami Lynn Kent I have created this podcast with the hopes of broadening our understanding of feminine psychology and growing together in our embodiment of purpose, passion and pleasure.

I invite you to use your own intuitive felt-sense with any idea offered to you to decide whether a certain practice or concept is of value for you at any given time. This podcast is in no way a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Ep.18 Priestess Arts with Seraphina Capranos

After suffering injury to her spine as a teenager, Seraphina Capranos was declared by the conventional medical system to lead a life of suffering in chronic pain. Determined to heal herself, she returned to her roots and began a professional study of natural medicine at Emerson College of Herbology (1998) leading her to study with renowned herbalist Susun S. Weed at The Wise Woman Center in NY (1999) and then soon after healers in the desert of New Mexico.

She is passionate about educating and empowering people in the wisdom of natural medicine. Seraphina is a graduate  of the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy (2005) and in addition to offering empowering, heart-centered classes in herbalism and homeopathy, she loves teaching mystical earth-based tools for living a fullfilled and vital life.

In this episode, I ask Seraphina about how to weave in ancient feminine wisdom when we as women face the pain that may accompany experiences such as miscarriage and hysterectomy. I love her reflections around the benefit of sisterhood and community during difficult times and how emotion being held and shared among those circling up can be an essentially part of the healing 💐

It reminds me how women are the medicine and how pain and suffering can expand into a greater capacity to love when held in truth and tenderness.
