What is a Registered Clinical Counsellor?

Registered Clinical Counsellors are those registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). There are many counselling diploma certificates which can provide an understanding of therapeutic theories and tools. There are various requirements for various forms of registration. At the moment, anyone can use the terms “counsellor” or “therapist”; however, what you can know is that those registered with the BCACC hold Master’s Degrees and meet the strictest professional qualification standards. All RCC’s have also fulfilled the Association’s rigourous requirements with respect to education, supervision, and clinical experience. For more information feel free to visit the BCACC website.

“Circlework provided for me a space to reflect and feel connected to myself and other women. To be able to take that feeling—that space—with me day to day provided me with a sense of empowerment and reassurance to any challenges I may face.”
